This Privacy Policy explains how TradeMall.com ("TradeMall", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use TradeMall.com (the "Platform"). We act as the data controller. It is designed with the EU/UK GDPR and US privacy laws (including California CCPA/CPRA and COPPA) in mind; we continue to build out the tooling needed to fully support every right described below.

1. Data we collect

You provide at signup: name; sex; date of birth (to verify minimum age); city, state, country; email address; username and password (stored only as salted hashes).

Collected automatically: gameplay data (predictions, Credit balances, leaderboard standing, group membership); device and log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages viewed); cookies and similar technologies.

We do not collect payment information — the Platform is free and Credits cannot be purchased.

2. How we use your data

To create and manage your account and operate the game (contract); verify minimum age (legal obligation / legitimate interest); security, fraud and abuse prevention (legitimate interest); service emails such as password resets (contract); product analytics (legitimate interest / consent); optional marketing emails (consent, opt-in). We do not sell personal data that identifies you. We may, however, create and share, license, or sell aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified data, insights, and statistics that do not identify you, including for commercial purposes (see Section 3).

3. How we share data

We do not sell personal data that identifies you. We share your identifiable personal data only with service providers/processors (hosting, email, analytics, outcome data feeds) under contract; legal/safety recipients where required; and successors in a merger or asset sale.

We may also create, use, share, license, or sell aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified data, insights, and statistics — for example overall prediction trends, category popularity, or usage metrics — that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, including for commercial, research, and analytics purposes, where permitted by law. We maintain such data in a form that does not re-identify any individual and do not attempt to re-identify it.

Some gameplay information (username, leaderboard rank, group membership) is visible to other users by design.

4. International transfers

Your data may be processed in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

5. Data retention

We keep personal data while your account is active. After closure we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, except where longer retention is legally required (e.g. for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations). Access and audit logs (which include IP address and user agent) are retained for up to 90 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, port your data, and withdraw consent. EU/UK users may complain to their supervisory authority. California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information that identifies you; aggregated and de-identified data is not "personal information" under these laws. Contact privacytrademall.com.

7. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies via your browser; disabling some may affect functionality.

8. Children

The Platform is intended for users 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Where the digital-consent age is higher (e.g. 16 in some EU/EEA countries), we require that age or verifiable parental consent.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures including hashed passwords, encryption in transit, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date will change.
